BEFORE I AM JAILED OR EVEN
KILLED IN TOMMOROW’S(TODAY) PEACEFUL PROTEST- MY DECLARATION!
Greatest Ife! The Police have threatened to jail we your leaders if we proceed to protest tomorrow(today).
They even threatened to teargas we the students! The question is: is this order from our Professor of
‘diplomacy’, the VC or the FG?
But little did they know that having at inception addressed the
outrageous increment with basic
democratic virtues such as diplomacy, appeal, lobbying,
negotiation,among others, we are
more than justified in law, morality or common sense to exercise our fundamental rights of sit-ins, occupying, picketing & protest as ordained by the combined provisions of sections 39 & 40 of 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 2011 as amended.
Accordingly, it is my humble
declaration that we remain fearless & cannot be intimidated in this struggle for this is in defense of the right of the children of the poor, the downtrodden to education. Hence,
dear Police, I shall prepare for my
arrest tomorrow(today) provided you will allow me come with my toothbrush & paste, pocket Bible & Quran & the Autobiography of Martin Luther Jnr.
Great Ife! We shall proceed to
occupy Ife metropolis as Congress
have decided while we await the
outcome of the meeting between
the VC & the Ooni-of-Ife said to
have been scheduled for tomorrow by the High Chief Adeyeye Adekola
Agoro!
