PRETTY LADY: A Poem, A Song, and A Question

POEM
When you’ve not met one,
A lady that’s STUPENDOUS
and in many ways, OUTSTANDING,
One who stands all shades of AWESOMENESS
You say different things:

“I can’t kill myself because of one lady”,
“They are all distractions”,
“I can’t be wasting my time”
“I don’t even have that time jare”
“Ladies cannot be trusted”
“All women are the same”;

But when you finally meet her,
The lady who stands out of the rest,
ASTOUNDING and ASTONISHING,
Whose words weigh tonnes of PIERCING sweetness
An unending tirade of SALUBRIOUS cannonball
Evoking incessant AFFECTATION
Lighting up erstwhile LUGUBRIOUS sensations
Keeping you in a state of melancholic PERVIGILIUM
A PRETTY LADY of IMPERVIOUS self-worth

Different from all you have imagined,
Your words begin to change,
Different from what you’ve said before:

“This lady is just different from all”
“She makes my life so complete”
“Where have you been all my life?”
“I’m willing to lay down my life for her’

Well, maybe I am at that point right now
Where I can say: I have found that one,
Who brightens my heart, my world

If it is to fight,
beg,
die
or live for you,

Adeola mi,
Your FutureBae,
I want to spend my life with you.

Yours Sincerely
Your Knight in “well-starched-and-ironed Agbada”
