So Jesus rose up this morning, they said-at lest that’s what the calendar says(or whoever is responsible for picking the days)…but don’t get it twisted…èko ò kolà (the marks on the body of the local pap are not genuine)…
He had risen since before the foundation of the earth(Abi no be Wetin bible talk be that?). If you don’t agree with that, at least you agree with the fact the He rose some 2000years ago.
However, my point is this:
We’re not just-supposed to be-a bunch of religious bigots running after series of religious rituals set by the leaders of our religious clubs to appease our idea of God.
No! the truth is exposed.
Aféfé ti fé, a ti rí fùrò adìe.
God’s true intention has finally being revealed.
He had chosen us in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in Love; and because of that we have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places.
So then…we’re not trying to make away to God by praying, fasting, and doing all these things we do. Neither are we doing them to try to please God, he had chosen to be pleased by us in Christ already.
So then….why do we do all these things: pray, fast, give offering, evangelist etc.? We do because we are trying to understand who we are and what we are in Christ.
So Paul says it more accurately:” That’s why, when I heard of the solid trust you have in the Master Jesus and your outpouring of love to all the followers of Jesus, I couldn’t stop thanking God for you—every time I prayed, I’d think of you and give thanks. But I do more than thank. I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!
So friend, let’s start asking ourselves the importance of all these and the real idea in God’s mind.
Only on that path is true Christianity.
