How do you do it that the words ‘thank you’ ends my year always?
How do you manage to mesmerize me every now and then?
I start a year sometimes not knowing how I am going to pull through, yet, at the end of the year, my heart can’t seem to find words to express my gratitude.
How do you do it that I have never had reasons to be ungrateful and thankful every end of the year?
Don’t you get tired of being good?
Don’t you get weary of doing the same thing day after day?
Why are you the way you are?
Why have you taken such interest in me?
Why the care? Why the concern?
Why do you pay so much attention to the details of my life?
How have I come to deserve such favor?
Why God? Why?
Maybe that’s why you are God
Maybe that’s why you are the I am that you are
Maybe that’s what makes you different from all
Maybe that’s what makes you unsearchable and unexplainable
Maybe this is why I can’t find words enough to express how grateful I am

Maybe I really do know….
